What is the Game Room, and what is in it?
Game Room is one of five 3D rooms on Micup (micup.gg): you and your friends sit at tables as avatars and play okey, backgammon, chess or draughts while talking in a voice channel. The room has 2 four-player game tables, 8 watching seats beside them, 13 seats and a TV for screen sharing.

What can you do in the Game Room?
Game Room is set up for spectators as much as for players: each of the two tables has watching seats next to it. One table can run okey while the other runs chess, and people who are not playing sit nearby and stay in the conversation.
- Play okey, okey 101, backgammon, chess, Turkish draughts or draughts, dragging the pieces across the 3D table.
- Talk while you play. With "3D audio" on, each voice comes from where that person is sitting.
- Take a watching seat beside a table to follow the game up close.
- Share your screen; others open it on the TV with "Watch" and can go full screen.
- Answer a good move with an emoji reaction above your character, or type in the chat box.
How do the table rules work?

How do chess and backgammon games end?
Chess ends by checkmate, stalemate, insufficient material, threefold repetition or the fifty-move rule. In backgammon each player has 15 checkers, and the win counts as a gammon (mars) if the loser has borne off none. Okey uses 106 tiles and an indicator tile.
How do you add the Game Room to a voice channel?
Pick Game Room under "Room theme" in the channel settings. This needs the Manage channels permission in that channel. Everyone who joins starts in a free seat, and you sit in a free spot at a table to play.

How many people can be in the Game Room?
There is no 3D-specific cap on people. Up to 48 characters are drawn on screen and the rest show as profile pictures; walking is on for up to 32 people. The room has 13 seats, 8 places across 2 tables, 8 watching seats and 12 standing spots.
Are the board games free?
Yes. Entering the room and playing at the tables are free. What costs money is most of the outfit parts in the shop.
Can I play in the Game Room from my phone?
No. 3D rooms and their tables open on a computer, in the browser or the desktop app. On a phone you join the same voice channel in the flat view.
