What's in the Night Lounge room?
Night Lounge is one of five 3D rooms on Micup (micup.gg): a lounge at night where you sit down as your avatar and talk with friends in a voice channel. The room has 20 seats, a four-player game table and a TV for screen sharing, and it is currently the room that server voice channels without their own theme open in.

What can you do in Night Lounge?
Night Lounge is built for evening conversations. When you join the channel you land in a free seat, and you can click any other free seat to move.
- Sit back and talk. With "3D audio" on, each voice comes from where that person is sitting.
- Play okey, okey 101, backgammon, chess, Turkish draughts or draughts at the game table. Others can follow the game from the 4 watching seats beside it.
- Share your screen or camera; others open it on the TV with "Watch" and can go full screen.
- Walk around with WASD, wave, dance, or show an emoji reaction above your character.
- Type in the room chat box; your message goes to the channel chat and appears as a speech bubble over your character.

How do you add Night Lounge to a voice channel?
Open the channel settings and pick Night Lounge under "Room theme". This needs the Manage channels permission in that channel.
Server voice channels without their own theme open in Micup's default room, which is currently Night Lounge. If you would rather not have it, choose "None" in the same menu and the channel goes back to the flat view.
How do games at the table work?
Okey and okey 101 are played by 4 people; backgammon, chess, Turkish draughts and draughts by 2. You drag the pieces across the 3D table.
Every game has fast, normal and slow speeds. In okey you get 15, 30 or 60 seconds per move; in chess and draughts each player's total clock is 3, 10 or 30 minutes.
Frequently asked questions
How many people can be in Night Lounge?
There is no 3D-specific cap on people. Up to 48 characters are drawn on screen and the rest show as profile pictures; walking is on for up to 32 people. The room has 20 seats, 4 places at the table, 4 watching seats and 12 standing spots.
Does Night Lounge work on a phone?
No. 3D rooms open on a computer, in the browser or the desktop app. In the Android app and phone browsers you join the same channel in the flat view.
Does Night Lounge cost anything?
No. Entering the room and talking with the default look are free. What costs money is most of the outfit parts in the shop.
