What is a good Guilded alternative now that it has closed?

Guilded shut down at the end of 2025, and Micup (micup.gg) is one option for a gaming community that needs a new home, with free servers, voice channels, 3D rooms and table games. Micup has no calendar or scheduling tools like Guilded's, so a clan that relied on them should look at Discord or Root as well.

Micup keeps the parts a community uses every day, for free, and adds a place to hang out between matches.

  • Servers with text and voice channels, roles, channel permissions and an audit log.
  • Message history kept until you or an admin delete it.
  • Free screen sharing at 720p and 30 fps, and up to 1080p at 60 fps for any member in a Level 2 boosted server.
  • 500 custom emoji and 500 sticker slots per server without boosts.
  • Noise suppression based on DeepFilterNet, free on the web and desktop apps.
  • 3D rooms and six table games on computers, with ranked play and leaderboards.
  • Steam, Twitch and Kick account links on your profile.
  • Micup's web app, server and desktop app are open source under AGPLv3, and the source of each release can be downloaded without an account.

What will you miss from Guilded?

  • Calendars and scheduling: Micup has no calendar or scheduled events. The Micup Roster bot can post event cards instead.

Why do old lists still recommend Guilded?

Many "Discord alternative" lists were written before the closure and have not been updated. If an article recommends Guilded, check its date. The same goes for Revolt, which is now called Stoat, and for Skype, which Microsoft closed on 5 May 2025.
